The Importance of Protecting Your Outbound Email
According to The Radicati Group, 132 billion business emails are being sent and received every day. When you consider that astoundingly high number, there’s a very good chance that employees are sharing sensitive information in the process, accidentally or otherwise. These actions that can result in a data breach for your organization. This is why it is just as important to protect information that leaves your organization as it is to protect your company from viruses, malware, and phishing attacks.
The loss of sensitive data and other forms of company information can lead to significant financial losses and reputation damage. We recommend that organizations put in place a solution that will identify and halt leakage of privileged data and other sensitive information such as social security numbers, credit card information, health data, and more.
To help you protect against negligent, accidental or intentional leakage of valuable data, we have built Data Loss Prevention functionality into our Intermedia Email Protection anti-spam and anti-virus filtering product.
