Introducing Advanced Email Security
Earlier this year, Intel® Security announced end of life for a large number of McAfee® SaaS security services, including email protection and continuity services sold by Intermedia within the McAfee Email Defense Suite. Intermedia has been diligently evaluating replacement options and decided on a proprietary service called Advanced Email Security.
Advanced Email Security included with every mailbox
Like McAfee email protection, Advanced Email Security leverages multiple anti-spam and anti-virus engines along with heuristic and Bayesian filtering to provide layers of protection against modern internet threats.
Advanced Email Security includes:
- Multi-layer spam and anti-virus protection
- IP and URL defense
- Company-wide white and black lists
- 24/7 threat monitoring
- Attachment filtering
Currently, we include Advanced Email Security with all of our new mailboxes. In fact, we have already started to migrate existing Intermedia mailboxes. If you’re a current direct customer on McAfee basic email protection and not using 3rd party email security services, you will be receiving an email notification on how to access the new and easy to use migration wizard that can be accessed through the HostPilot® control panel.
After the migration, you will no longer receive a daily quarantine/spam report. Spam will appear in the junk email folder in Outlook for easy access.
