CRN recognizes Curt Mark as someone to know in the IT channel for 2016

It’s such an honor whenever we’re recognized by a prestigious organization. And I’m really excited to announce that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has recognized Curt Mark, our VP of Channel Sales, as one of 100 People You Don’t Know But Should in the IT channel for 2016.

How do they decide who should be on the list?

The CRN editorial team, assessing feedback from solution providers and other industry executives, compiles this annual list to celebrate under-the-radar channel management team members from the industry’s top vendors and distributors. Those selected have worked tirelessly to create, promote and manage programs and policies that support and advance the IT channel.

Why Curt Mark is someone you should know

With over 16 years of experience in channel sales and development, Curt has played an integral role in the growth of our partner program. Under Curt’s guidance and leadership, we have enabled 6,000+ active partners to increase partner commissions and margins. 2016 CRN Channel Chief, Curt Mark, continues to demonstrate his enduring support for the channel by creating, promoting and executing effective channel partner programs and strategies.

When I asked Eric Martorano, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, why he feels Curt was added to the list, he had this to say:

“Curt is instrumental to Intermedia’s partner- and customer-first approach. Intermedia continually invests in expanding the ways that we help our partners throughout the entire customer lifecycle. This commitment goes so much further than just helping to close the deal. It’s about the customer’s lifetime value and helping our partners add value on top of our services and differentiate themselves in a crowded cloud market. Curt has been a champion at the forefront of this go-to-market strategy, and I’m so pleased to see him getting the recognition he deserves.”

Why the list matters

When asked about the list and why CRN wants to recognize this group of “hidden” talent, Robert Faletra, CEO of The Channel Company, said:

“There are a number of people who work behind the scenes in the channel whose efforts do not often receive widespread attention, although they truly help to hold up the entire industry and make it the thriving, smoothly functioning ecosystem that it is. We are pleased to shine a spotlight on these individuals with CRN’s 2016 list of 100 People You Don’t Know But Should list and to honor their important work, which quietly underpins the infrastructure of the IT channel and allows the community to advance as a whole.”

The 2016 list of 100 People You Don’t Know But Should will be featured in the October issue of CRN and can be viewed online at www.crn.com/100people.
