From 451 Research: Intermedia’s SecuriSync branches out with backup and recovery functionality
When I talk to enterprises about the systems they use, I find that they pride themselves on staying as up-to-date as possible with their technology. Up until now, being up-to-date has meant have a cloud-based file backup solution like CrashPlan, Mozy or Carbonite and having a cloud-based file sharing solution like Box or OneDrive.
Now I can happily tell them that the newest technology solution is to combine those two functions into one product: SecuriSync® from Intermedia.
451 Research explores the value of SecuriSync for enterprises
And I am happy to say that 451 Research also sees the value in using SecuriSync for enterprise file backup and sharing. They recently published a new report, “Intermedia’s SecuriSync branches out with backup and recovery functionality”, that looks at SecuriSync’s capabilities and their application in the enterprise setting.
451’s take on SecuriSync:
“….Intermedia is well positioned to facilitate a secure and supported business implementation of enterprise FSS (EFSS). The additional backup and recovery features ensure a level of file resilience that can be essential in certain industry verticals, namely healthcare, legal and financial….All in all, Intermedia has developed a competitive FSS offering, viable as a stand-alone product or as a singular feature within its Office in the Cloud portfolio.”
451 Research notes that enterprise file sync and share (EFSS) is becoming more than just basic file sharing. Larger companies want more robust capabilities like integration with email and increased support for remote and mobile workers.
They see SecuriSync embracing that trend:
“By providing additional file functionality, Intermedia aims to reduce dependency on multiple applications and simplify the workflow process for users.”

Complete 2-in-1 file backup and sharing in one powerful product
SecuriSync offers a complete file backup capabilities along with enterprise-grade file sharing. Users can easily collaborate from anywhere using all their favorite devices, and IT gets a powerful backup tool with real-time restoration functionality.
This powerful combination takes cloud backup one step further by giving IT the ability to restore files to a specific timestamp — a great way to recover quickly from accidental deletions or malicious attacks from ransomware. (Read our 2016 Crypto-Ransomware Report to learn more about recovering quickly from a ransomware attack). I really believe this is a key consideration when you are building out your business continuity plan.
