About The Role:

Intermedia is seeking its first full time hire in the Income Tax world.  The ideal candidate will be an experienced, dynamic Manager, Income Taxes who can manage the compliance function via the Company’s third party advisors as well as provide tax savings/optimization opportunities in future.

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will ensure timely and accurate income tax compliance.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage and coordinate international and U.S. compliance and reporting which includes working with outsource provider for the preparation of the quarterly and annual income tax provisions, U.S. federal and state tax returns.
  • Lead special tax projects R&D credit studies, Section 382, accounting method changes and domestic planning, FIN48 reserve liability, valuation allowance analysis, deferred tax account roll-forwards and reconciliations, and tax disclosures
  • Delegates and manages tax research projects to achieve corporate goals working with third party advisors
  • Perform technical review and approval of all domestic returns and lead on income tax related government examinations
  • Manage and oversee international statutory tax filing requirements including corporate income tax returns, and other local filing requirements.
  • Assumes responsibility with team for tax control environment in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Prepare technical memorandums to support tax positions.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Experience working in a high tech multi-national SAAS environment providing tax accounting, reporting, and consulting to the organization
  • Proven performance as a manager.
  • Experience dealing with complex tax compliance and provision issues.
  • Proven ability to work with outside service providers as team to deliver on goals
  • Drive innovation and automation processes throughout the tax function
  • Serve as lead tax advocate for domestic tax issues
  • Key player with all internal finance departments including accounting, FP&A, internal audit, legal, sales, operations, and R&D team members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage completion of tax deliverables in a timely fashion
  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent and master’s degree a plus.
  • CPA designation
  • 10+ years combined experience in industry and public accounting.
  • US GAAP knowledge is required.
  • Experience working in a global technology company
  • Experience developing and leading teams, and driving success across global locations and functional groups.
  • Experience driving efficient processes, automation and digital transformation.
  • Experience with NetSuite or other major ERP platforms.\
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively internally as well as with external service providers
