About The Role:

Intermedia is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Accountant with a focus on ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reporting. As a key member of the Finance & Accounting team, you will perform administrative and accounting activities to achieve Intermedia’s financial and operational goals. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly and annual general ledger closings to meet accounting calendar deadlines. Your responsibilities will include maintaining financial records and reports to the highest level of accuracy and quality, performing account reconciliations, assisting with the close process, and actively engaging in our culture of continuous improvement for scale amidst organic and acquisitive growth. You will also assist the Accounting Manager as needed and respond to information requests by management and for audit purposes.

What you will be doing:

  • Contribute to the daily operations of the accounting department
  • Post journal entries, perform general ledger account reconciliations, and participate in consolidation and financial reporting processes in accordance with GAAP
  • Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and related controls and fluctuation analysis for assigned areas
  • Execute proper accounting methods, policies, and principles while maintaining adequate records to document transactions and controls
  • Work closely with FP&A and other departments as needed to understand and post accruals/transactions
  • Assist with quarterly and year-end financial audit and compliance activities as requested 
  • Assess current practices, procedures, and controls, helping to identify opportunities for continuous improvement as we continue to grow and scale
  • Perform ad hoc analysis, financial reporting, and projects as requested
  • Take on new responsibilities as required to assist in meeting organizational goals and objectives

What you will bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or similar (CPA preferred)
  • 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience with a solid understanding of US GAAP
  • Big 4 experience and CPA are highly desirable
  • Previous experience with ERP systems is highly desirable, NetSuite experience a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with internal controls, financial reporting and SOX knowledge is a plus
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • A go-getter with a positive can-do attitude, team player, sense of humor, and ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities and pressing deadlines
